Prairie Fire BioEnergy Cooperative is a non-profit, producer owned, cooperative founded to support the development of renewable biomass energy sources in Western Kansas through the following actions and efforts:

• Establishment of suitable conditions in the field of energy development which incorporate the efforts, products, and goals of local agricultural biomass producers

• Provide additional revenue streams for producers for their products by utilization in biomass energy production

• Support and reinforce the local economy and communities through employment, resource use, and development of renewable, sustainable technologies

• Keep its member-owners informed about their coop business, economic, political, charitable, and social environments

• Help to improve the quality of life, both now and in the foreseeable future, in the areas where Prairie Fire BioEnergy Cooperative has a business, purchasing, or distributing presence


Prairie Fire Board Of Directors

 
A resident of Healy for 14 years. Brad owns and operates Smokey Hill Creations, a furniture manufacturing company. Brads wife, Tonya is the interrelated teacher for the Healy School System. Brad and Tonya have two daughters, Shelbey 17 and Heather 15.

 
A life long resident of Healy. Dan is President of Sharp Brothers Seed Company and owns Healy Oil Company as well as Home Town Pride Grocery. Dans wife LaFonda co-owns Healy Oil Company and Home Town Pride Grocery. Dan and LaFonda have three children. Tyler 19, Kyla 16, Kiara 10.

  

 
Byler just recently moved back to his home town of Healy 2 years ago. Byler is the manager of Healy Oil Company. Bylers wife Michelle enjoys being a home maker and stay at home mom. School functions keep Michelle very busy. Byler and Michelle have two children. Keaton 14 and Taisha 10.
 

 
Walter moved back to his home town of Healy 15 years ago to take a position at First State Bank of Healy. Walter is now a Vice President. Georgia, Walters wife, is employed by USD 468 Healy as the Third and Fourth grade teacher. Walter and Georgia have three sons. Clint (deceased), Mark 19, Luke 16.
